A robot apparatus, system and method for controllably displacing milk producing animals contained in stalls to a further location and back to said stalls. Each of the animals is secured to an attachment element retained by a fixed connector in each of the stalls. The robot apparatus is displaceable by guide means to position the robot device at selected ones of the stalls and to a remote location. The robot apparatus has an extendable robotic arm which is provided with an animal retrieving hand having an engagement element to detach the attachment element from the fixed connector and engage the attachment element whereby to displace the milk producing animals from their respective stalls to the further location and back to their stalls where the retrieving hand re-attaches the attachment element to the fixed connector. |
