The present invention relates to a spindle motor and a hard disk drive including the spindle motor. The spindle motor includes: a shaft; a sleeve which supports the shaft to relatively rotate by the dynamic pressure of a fluid; a stator core installed on the outer surface of the sleeve; and a base member fixed onto the sleeve. At least a part of the inner side ends of the base member in the radial direction is fitted to a fixing groove arranged on the radial exterior of the sleeve in the circumferential direction. The sleeve includes: a first sleeve supporting the shaft; and a second sleeve which is arranged on the outside of the first sleeve and has the stator core installed on the outer surface.
