The present invention relates to a liquefied gas treatment system which can greatly reduce cost as unnecessary to be equipped with a compressor, an expander, or the like by storing a cryogenic medium in a cryogenic storage tank, and using the medium by discharging a certain amount thereof when required, and to a method for the same. The liquefied gas treatment system according to the present invention comprises: a cryogenic storage tank storing the cryogenic medium having cold energy to liquefy evaporation gas generated from a liquefied gas storage tank; a cryogenic heat exchanger cooling the evaporation gas by heat-exchanging the cryogenic medium discharged from the cryogenic storage tank with the evaporation gas generated from the liquefied gas storage tank; and an evaporation gas cooling line connecting the liquefied gas storage tank and the cryogenic heat exchanger.
