<p>A variable height wind turbine and a method for adjusting the height of a tower are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the variable height wind turbine includes a ring shaped bearing having a screw groove on the inner surface thereof, which corresponds to screw thread formed on the outer circumference of a wind turbine tower, and saw tooth at intervals on the outer surface thereof; and a driving motor rotating a gear engaged with the saw tooth. The bearing can be combined to the lower part of the wind turbine tower by a screw.</p> |
