<p>A ventilation assembly (1) disclosed herein includes an air channel (2), a pivot cover (3), and fixing means for fixing the assembly to a nearby structure. The air channel (2) has an inlet (4) that has a first opening and an outlet (5) that has a second opening. The first opening is larger than the second opening. The inlet (4) forms an angle with respect to the outlet (5) so that the center line through the air channel (2) is curved. A surface of the cover (3) is larger than the second opening of the outlet (5). The pivot cover (3) is connected to the outlet (5) so that the cover can block the outlet by using a fluid pressure on one side surface of the cover. The cover is present in the air channel (2) when no pressure acts on the cover. Also, the present invention relates to a protection apparatus (10) for a marine structure (20). The protection apparatus includes a shield (11) that is attached to and surrounds at least a part of a lower member of the marine structure. The ventilation assembly according to the present invention is provided for the shield.</p> |
