An operation method of a mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of displaying a first image; displaying a transparent second image on the first image; setting a predetermined area in the second image; receiving a predetermined input for the set area; and inserting an image or a text corresponding to the set area into the first image. Therefore, a user may more conveniently edit multimedia data, thereby improving user convenience.
