METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLASSIFYING OF LANE

Disclosed are a method for identifying a lane and an apparatus thereof. A method for identifying a lane includes the steps of: acquiring moving object information from a moving object according as the moving object approaches closely - the moving object information includes GPS information and moving object identification information; calculating the relative distance between the moving object and a lane fixing position using the GPS information and each lane fixing position which is previously stored; and identifying a lane according to the moving direction of the moving object using the relative distance.
