The system has a switch (3) i.e. transistor, and an inductor (4) arranged so that a charging current of a capacitor (2) circulating between a battery (1) and the capacitor pass through the switch and the inductor. The inductor limits the current. The switch and the inductor form a system for chopping the current. A chopping frequency is greater than one kilohertz, preferably greater than tens or hundreds of kilohertz. A control of the switch is arranged so that the switch is alternately closed and opened to alternately charge and discharge the inductor into the capacitor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a charging system for charging a capacitor by a battery (2) a method for pre-charging a capacitor by a battery. |
