The present invention provides a food material cutter, wherein anyone can simply, accurately, and rapidly slice a ring-shaped or disc-shaped food material such as a doughnut or a bagel in half irrespective of how familiar he or she is with the cutter. The food material cutter of the present invention comprises: a feeding hole (3) for feeding a doughnut; slope plates (8a, 8b) and guide plates (19a, 19b) for guiding the fed doughnut; and rotary blades (22b, 23b) for cutting the guided doughnut in half in a thickness direction. Moreover, the slope plates (8a, 8b) have large slope angles by means of the dead weight of the doughnut through a link tool. Furthermore, the guide plates (19a, 19b) are moved in regular distances from the gap center between the guide plates (19a, 19b) corresponding to the thickness of the doughnut. When fed from the feeding hole (3), the doughnut is guided by means of the slope plate (8a, 8b) and guide plates (19a, 19b) to fall on a pallet (4) while sliced in half in a thickness direction. |
