PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing the adhesion of a discharge product and scattered toner to an electrifying wire.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an electrifying device 70 including an electrifying wire 71 and a shield case 72 storing the electrifying wire. The shield case of the electrifying device includes a discharge duct 76 in which an opening 721a facing the photoreceptive surface of a photoreceptor 43, an introduction port 723a for taking outside air into the shield case, and an exhaust port 722a for exhausting air from the shield case are formed and which is adjacent to the exhaust port side of the shield case and exhausts the air to the outside of the image forming apparatus, a shutter device including a shutter 751 for opening and closing the introduction port of the shield case and an opening/closing mechanism performing the opening/closing operation of the shutter 751, and a control part controlling the opening/closing mechanism, so as to obtain a closing state where the shutter closes the introduction port, during an electrification operation with respect to the photoreceptor by the electrifying device and so as to obtain an opening state where the shutter opens the introduction port, when the electrification operation is completed. |
