PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel forging processing method for a long axis component with flange, in which no vertical reinforcement in an axial direction is generated on a finished product, a finishing step for removing the vertical reinforcement is not required, cost for mold is inexpensive, a mold clamp is not required, planning time is required, and mechanical installation is extremely inexpensive, thereby, especially, production of vehicular axle shaft is performed efficiently at low cost.SOLUTION: A portion to which forging must be performed on a material 1 for metal axis is locally heated to equal to or more than a transformation point in advance in a frequency furnace. Then the portion to which forging must be performed, which has been locally heated by a dynamic pressure screw press or a stationary pressure screw press 3 which are vertical upsetters, is molded into a shape of a flange part of a vehicular axle shaft by using a mold in which a lower mold 18 for holding an axis of the material 1 for metal axis is integrated. |
