<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having a separator formed of a material which is highly flexible in normal state but is hardened when subjected to a strong impact to thereby provide a high freedom in shape and high safety.SOLUTION: The battery has a power generation part which includes a cathode 5 and an anode 4 disposed facing to each other being interposed by a separator 3 in an outer case. The separator 3 contains a material which gives the separator 3 a dilatancy property. With this, even when the battery is subjected to a strong impact from the outside, the battery is prevented from being broken inside which may cause a short-circuit resulting in a large current flow.</p> |
