<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a tension acting on a web being conveyed in real time in a web conveyance device for conveying the web by a plurality of rollers.SOLUTION: A tension measuring device 5 includes: a hollow roller 7 for supporting a web being conveyed; and a flexible shaft 9 inserted into the roller 7 and rotationally supporting the roller 7 by a pair of bearings 8. The shaft 9 has flat faces 15, 16 formed at both end parts, and its center part is formed with a bending strain adjustment part 17, and thereby, the bending strain for a lateral load becomes large. The bending strain of the shaft 9 by the lateral load acting on the roller 7 is detected by laminating distortion gauges 18A to 18D on the flat face parts 15, 16 of the shaft 9. The lateral load acting on the roller 7 is calculated based on the detected bending strain, and further, tensile force acting on the web is calculated.</p> |
