<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device which improves the operability of an operating lever at the time of positioning of a steering wheel.SOLUTION: A steering column device 1 includes: a tilt shaft 83 which is provided so as to penetrate insertion holes formed in a column-side bracket 32 fixed to a steering column 3 and an upper bracket 8 fixed to a vehicle body; and a cam mechanism 7 which generates a frictional force between the column-side bracket 32 and the upper bracket 8 by cam thrust generated in an axial direction of the tilt shaft 83 by operation of an operating lever 50 to restrict the movement of the column-side bracket 32 to the upper bracket 8 by the frictional force, and is configured so that components in the axial direction of the tilt shaft 83 of a reaction force which the tilt shaft 83 receives from a cam surface are cancelled with each other.</p> |
