<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil ball treatment method and system which can treat oil balls recovered in a sewage treatment facility into a state capable of being dispersed or dissolved in sewage and can purify the oil balls together with the sewage without using a crushing system, a surfactant, and the like.SOLUTION: Oil balls stored in a storage tank 2 are heated and melted, and while liquid oil 3 obtained by the heating and melting is agitated, a hydroxide 4 of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal is added, whereby the oil balls are treated into a state capable of being dispersed or dissolved in water. In an oil ball treatment system, a circulation path 6 for circulating the liquid oil 3 is connected to the storage tank 2, the liquid oil 3 is agitated by circulating the liquid oil 3 through the circulation path 6, a partition plate formed with a circulation hole having a smaller diameter than that of a passage through which the liquid oil 3 flows is installed in the circulation path 6, and a shear mixer 10 is provided which shears the liquid oil 3 by stress generated by making the liquid oil 3 flow through the circulation hole.</p> |
