PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray computed tomographic apparatus which, when photographing is interrupted by an abnormal discharge in the X-ray tube, can suppress the influence of the interruption.SOLUTION: An X-ray computed tomographic apparatus according to the present embodiment comprises: a bed for movably supporting a top board on which a subject is placed; a trestle having an X-ray tube and an X-ray detection unit which rotate around the top board; a high voltage generation unit for generating high voltage to be applied between the electrodes of the X-ray tube; an electric current detection unit for detecting the current of the X-ray tube; an abnormal discharge identification unit for identifying an occurrence of an abnormal discharge within the X-ray tube on the basis of output from an electric potential difference detection unit; a mechanism movement unit for moving the top board to move the subject to within the trestle; a mechanical control unit for controlling the mechanical movement unit so as to resume the movement of the top board immediately after the movement of the top board is stopped in association with identification of the occurrence of an abnormal discharge within the X-ray tube by the abnormal discharge identification unit.
