Provided is an endoscope (1A) provided with: a supporting extending part (4A) provided with an insertion part (2) inserted into a body, a viewing optical system (3) for acquiring an image of a heart, provided to a distal end of the insertion part (2), a proximal-end balloon (8) provided on a proximal-end side of the insertion part (2) relative to the distal end thereof, for supporting the distal end of the insertion part (2) on the heart, and a distal-end balloon (7) provided so as to project forward from the distal end of the insertion part (2); the proximal-end balloon (8) being disposed on a reverse side of the insertion part (2) from the distal-end balloon (7). |
