The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for displaying a screen in a mobile terminal. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobile terminal proposes a method and an apparatus capable of performing a zoom-in process or a zoom-out process of a screen through a finger of a user on a touch screen. To achieve this, the method for displaying the screen in the mobile terminal according to the present invention comprises the steps of displaying the screen; sensing touch interaction which analyzes a moving direction when touch interaction to pass the boundary of a touch panel is sensed; performing the zoom-in process and the zoom-out process of the screen when the touch interaction has a first direction; and performing the zoom-in process and the zoom-out process of the screen when the touch interaction has a second direction. Therefore, a user according to the present invention may perform the zoom-in process and the zoom-out process by inputting a touch through a finger of one hand which holds the mobile terminal without inconvenience.
