PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of being economically constructed and operated, and having a simple control system for regularly and properly supplying gases to a reformer.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell assembly; a steam reformer 2 for supplying a fuel cell supply gas stream to the fuel cell assembly; a jet pump 1 for supplying a gas stream comprising steam and a gaseous hydrocarbon fuel to the steam reformer, the jet pump including a steam inlet, a fuel inlet for the gaseous hydrocarbon fuel and an outlet for the gas stream; a steam generator 6 for supplying pressurized steam to the steam inlet of the jet pump; and a supply source for supplying the gaseous hydrocarbon fuel to the fuel inlet of the jet pump. Flow of steam passing through the jet pump is responsible for entrainment and flow of the gaseous hydrocarbon fuel passing through the jet pump in order to generate a gas stream comprising steam and the gaseous hydrocarbon fuel and suitable for supply to the steam reformer. |
