PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical drop cable that is not affected by a thunder or an electric power line and also has high heat resistance fit to the heat-resistant electric wire stipulated in the notification No. 11 of the Fire and Disaster Management Agency and excellent water-proof performance.SOLUTION: An optical drop cable 100 comprises: a heat insulation layer 4 comprising a novoloid fiber; a wrapping 5 made of water absorption tape; and a sheath 6 made of flame retardant polyolefin, in this order, on the outer periphery of a cable core 10 fabricated by collecting an optical fiber cord 1 in which a coating 13 made of a heat-resistant vinyl chloride resin or a heat-resistant flame retardant polyolefin resin is applied to the outer periphery of a coated optical fiber 11 having a coating made of flame retardant polyolefin, and an intervention string 2 made of polyolefin around a tension member 3 made of a non-metal material. |
