PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure favorable appearance by securing wide uniform illumination without deteriorating light extraction efficiency to prevent generation of shadowy dark area.SOLUTION: An illuminating device includes a light source 16, a protective cover 23 covering the light source 16, and a translucent cover 3 having a diffusion surface covering the light source 16 and the protective cover 23. The protective cover 23 is constructed so that when emitting light from the light source 16 passes through the translucent cover 3, no low illuminance area is created, which would be created by ununiformity of distribution of emitting light from the light source through the protective cover 23 due to difference in the refraction factor in cross sections of the protective cover 23. |
