Disclosed are a filtration system and a filtration method which use a reverse osmosis membrane, thereby enabling minimization of filtration membrane module damage, energy savings, and filtration efficiency improvement. A filtration method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: preliminarily filtering raw water, which is to be treated, using first and second immersed filtration membrane modules; pressurizing a primary filtrate, which has been produced through the preliminary filtration, at a pressure exceeding the osmotic pressure of the raw water; filtering the pressurized primary filtrate using a reverse osmosis membrane module; interrupting the preliminary filtration operation of the first immersed filtration membrane module; and back-washing the first immersed filtration membrane module, the preliminary filtration operation of which has been interrupted, wherein, while the back-washing operation of the first immersed filtration membrane module is performed, the preliminary filtration operation by the second immersed filtration membrane module is continuously performed. |
