摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing nickel cobalt compound hydroxide that provides nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery positive electrode material with less void and high packing density without sacrificing mass productivity.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing nickel cobalt compound hydroxide for a lithium ion battery positive electrode material expressed by a general formula NiCo(OH)(x is 0.05 to 0.95). In the method, aqueous solution containing nickel and cobalt, aqueous solution containing ammonium ion supplier, and caustic alkali aqueous solution are supplied continuously into a reaction vessel while being stirred, crystallization reaction is caused while pH in the reaction vessel measured at 25°C is maintained at 12.2 or more and ammonium ion concentration in the solution is maintained at 30 g/L or more and 40 g/L or less, and the resultant created nickel cobalt compound hydroxide particles and residual aqueous solution are continuously overflown from the reaction vessel and solid-liquid separated, and then washed and dried.
