Disclosed are a method and a device for monitoring base station outdoor equipment. The monitoring method comprises: receiving a monitoring command sent by a monitoring center; analyzing the monitoring command, and sending a corresponding monitoring command to one or more functional modules specified by the monitoring command in the base station outdoor equipment; and receiving the monitoring result fed back by each functional module, and then sending the monitoring result to the monitoring center. By adopting the embodiments of the invention, the base station outdoor equipment can be effectively monitored without artificially climbing a radio frequency platform to carry out monitoring and detection.
