PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body that has an excellent contact property with a photoreceptor or a recording medium, and prevents the separation of a surface layer during image formation.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer belt 10 has a base material 12, an elastic layer 14, and a surface layer 16 laminated in this order. The elastic layer 14 is composed of rubber material, and the surface layer 16 is composed of acrylic material. When the surface of the elastic layer 14 on the surface layer 16 side is measured by the FT-IR ATR method, a ratio of the peak intensity Ito the peak intensity Iin an infrared absorption spectrum (I/I) is 0.5 or more. Iis the peak intensity of the maximum absorption appearing at 2,950±50 cm, and Iis the peak intensity of the maximum absorption appearing at 3,400±50 cm. |
