PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric element that allows improving an absorption factor of light without increasing manufacturing cost and extracting carriers generated at the deepest portion of a light adsorption layer.SOLUTION: A photoelectric element includes: a substrate; a lower electrode formed on a surface of the substrate; a light absorption layer composed of a p-type semiconductor and a second layer composed of an n-type semiconductor that are formed on the lower electrode; and an upper electrode formed on a surface of the light absorption layer or the second layer. The photoelectric element is used under the condition that the inclination angle (&thetas;) of the light absorption layer ranges from 0° to 90°. The term "inclination angle (&thetas;)" refers to the angle formed between the normal line of a light-receiving surface of the light absorption layer and the incident direction of light. |
