PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system capable of preventing unnecessary stopping during starting of a generating set due to insufficient power supply from a power storage apparatus, by prohibiting starting of the generating set when the power storage residual quantity of a power storage apparatus is smaller than electric energy necessary for starting the generating set in starting the generating set with power supply from the power storage apparatus.SOLUTION: The power supply system includes: a power storage apparatus 104 that supplies electric power to a self-supporting power load 103; a generating set 105 that starts with electric power supplied from the power storage apparatus 104 and supplies generated electric power to the self-supporting power load 103; and means for prohibiting the generating set from starting, if determining power storage residue quantity remaining at the power storage apparatus 104 to be smaller than electric energy necessary for starting the generating set 105. |
