PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to conveniently select broadcast of a data program that the user desires to view, under an environment where data broadcast and Internet-related broadcast coexist.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus comprises a controller configured to: acquire a multimedia document of data broadcast including instruction information for issuing an instruction to acquire application control information relating to an application for presenting a data program; access the application control information on the basis of the acquired instruction information; and acquire and execute the application on the basis of the application control information.
