摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor capable of improving the detection accuracy of a light quantity and a position by finely adjusting the deviation of an optical axis caused by the positional deviation of a chip due to the individual difference of a light receiving/emitting element and to provide an image forming apparatus using the optical sensor.SOLUTION: The optical sensor includes light-emitting means 71 for irradiating an image carrier 8 to which toner is adhered with the light of a light-emitting chip 81, a lens 90 irradiating a carrier with the light from the light-emitting means, light-receiving means being a photosensor 70, lenses 91 and 92 condensing the light regularly reflected by the image carrier to the photosensor 70, and a housing 74 in which the light-emitting means, the light-receiving means, and the lenses are stored. In the optical sensor, a positioning projection n3 which is integral with the housing is brought into contact with the lead root part m of the light-emitting means and then, the light-emitting means is fixed to the housing.
