PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing machine which reduces waiting time until car washing of a car to be washed starts.SOLUTION: Provided is a car washing machine WA for washing a car to be washed CA by transporting the car to be washed CA forward from an entrance 15 to an outlet 16 of a car washing machine body 1 by a transportation device 40. The car washing machine body 1 has a pair of side brushes 5 moving in a lateral direction and a cross direction. When car washing of the car to be washed CA by the side brushes 5 starts, the side brushes 5 are disposed on predetermined car washing start positions in the cross direction. Following to car washing start of the car to be washed CA, the side brushes 5 move in the lateral direction for washing a front surface of the car to be washed CA, and then the side brushes 5 wash side surfaces of the car to be washed CA while moving until they are positioned on the entrance 15 side from the car washing start positions. Thereafter, the car to be washed CA is transported forward, and the side brushes 5 move toward the outlet 16 while washing a rear surface of the car to be washed CA. When rear surface washing of the car to be washed CA finishes, the side brushes 5 are disposed on the car washing start positions. |
