<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a variation in the speed of an intermediate transfer belt occurring when a recording sheet enters a secondary transfer unit to provide images with no disturbance.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an intermediate transfer belt 61 to which toner images on a plurality of image carriers are primarily transferred, and a secondary transfer roller 71 that is pressed against the intermediate transfer belt 61 to form a secondary transfer nip in order to secondarily transfer the toner images onto a recording sheet. The intermediate transfer belt 61 is laid over a driving roller 63 that is rotated by the power transmitted from a belt driving motor 92, at least one driven roller, and a secondary transfer opposing roller 65 that is pressed by the secondary transfer roller 71 during the secondary transfer. The driven roller 67 has, for example, a dynamic vibration absorber 77 attached to the rotation shaft 67a, which reduces the resonance gain at a resonance point of frequency response characteristics of a drive conveyance and transmission system between the belt driving motor 92 and driven roller 67.</p> |
