<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing machine and material testing method capable of accurately measuring a test force during a material test with an extremely simple configuration.SOLUTION: On the basis of the height position of an upper arm acquired by a first rotary encoder 37, a correction value corresponding to the height position is called up from a table stored in a storage section 92. On the basis of the height position of a lower arm acquired by a second rotary encoder 38, a correction value corresponding to the height position is called up from the table stored in the storage section 92. The test force measured by a load cell 15 is corrected on the basis of the pair of called correction values.</p> |
