APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR M2M DATA COMMUNICATION FOR CONTAINER SECURITY

The present invention provides: a machine to machine (M2M) data communication apparatus for monitoring the security of a container by transmitting, to a control server, image data and illumination level data of the inside of the container together with location information and status information of the container, using M2M data communication technology; and a method therefor. The apparatus is installed inside of the container and is connected via a wire to a ConTracer being a container security device that senses unauthorised openings and closings of the container door (electronically sealed) and that senses real-time information on the status of the inside of the container including temperature, humidity and shocks; the apparatus detects the image data or the illumination level data of the inside of the container together with the container status information sensed by the ConTracer, and transmits information in real-time to the control server regarding unauthorised openings and closings of the container, using M2M data communication.
