INDUCTION POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM WITH BATTERY TYPE DETECTION FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction power supply system and method that detect the battery principle of a remote device and supply power to the remote device by radio using the detected characteristic.SOLUTION: An induction power supply system 100 charges a remote device 104 by radio by use of a detected battery characteristic, and includes an induction power supply device 102 comprising a primary coil 106 capable of supplying power to a secondary coil 107 in the remote device 104 by induction. The induction power supply device 102 and the remote device 104 include communication means for communicating by radio. The remote device 104 has a detectable battery characteristic. The battery characteristic is detected by performing qualification charging to a battery 108. Analyzing the detected battery characteristic identifies the battery 108 integrated in the remote device. Appropriate charging algorithm is selected by use of the analyzed characteristic.
