PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods to supply positioning reference signal (PRS) in a telecommunication system.SOLUTION: A base station acquires a pattern of a positioning reference signal (PRS) sequence arranged in the time-frequency domain. The base station maps the positioning reference signal (PRS) sequence to a set of modulation symbols in the time-frequency domain according to the pattern. The positioning (PRS) sequence is conveyed to user equipment through delivery of a set of modulation symbols established through the mapping.
