PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently producing a blood cell or a cardiomyocyte from a pluripotent stem cell.SOLUTION: A method of producing a blood cell or a cardiomyocyte from a pluripotent stem cell comprises a step of isolating a cell having differentiation ability to the blood cell or a cell having differentiation ability to the cardiomyocyte from a cell population containing a mesoblast cell derived from the pluripotent stem cell, using the expression of a CAR (coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor) on the cell surface as an index. More specifically, the present invention is related to a method of producing a blood cell or a cardiomyocyte from a pluripotent stem cell comprises the steps of: 1) isolating a CARcell or a CARcell from the cell population containing a mesoblast cell derived from the pluripotent stem cell; and 2) culturing the CARcell or the CARcell isolated by the step 1).
