PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector capable of facilitating the work for connecting an optical fiber by dispensing with a coating removal operation.SOLUTION: An optical fiber connector 10 includes: a pair of elements 2 and 3 for grasping a pair of optical fibers 1 and 1 that are butt-connected to each other; a pair of coating removal sections 5 for removing the coating of the optical fiber 1 to provide bare optical fibers; and a clamp section 4 for holding and fixing, between the elements 2 and 3, the butted part of the bare optical fibers obtained after the removal of the coating by the coating removal sections 5. Each of the elements 2 and 3 includes a guide section 28 as a groove or pore part for guiding the optical fibers 1 to the coating removal sections 5 while regulating the radial movement.
