<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller for an internal combustion engine variable mechanism capable of improving response at a time of starting a control and improving drive controllability over a variable mechanism by suppressing position recognition deviation.SOLUTION: A drive controller comprises: a first sensor 19 detecting a relative change in a rotational angle of a rotary shaft of a motor 18 that drives a control shaft of a variable mechanism 17; a first controller 20 performing processing for calculating an angle of the control shaft of the variable mechanism 17 on the basis of a detection output from the first sensor 19; a second sensor 21 detecting an absolute change in the rotational angle of the control shaft; and a second controller 22 controlling the motor 18 via the first controller 20 on the basis of a detection output from the second sensor 21, and controlling the variable mechanism 17 to be driven. By detecting the absolute change in the rotational angle of the control shaft, a change during engine stop can be confirmed and learning of a reference position at an engine start is made unnecessary to enable improved response. Furthermore, direct inputting the output from the second sensor 21 to the second controller 22 enables improvement in drive controllability.</p> |
