PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a cargo handling crane capable of improving safety of container cargo handling work.SOLUTION: A safety device for a cargo handling crane includes: lock pin control means capable of controlling a lock pin in a lock position and an unlock position; appearance information acquisition means capable of acquiring appearance information including a side surface of a spreader and a side surface of a container; appearance determination means for determining whether the spreader and the container are in an integral state or in a separate state, based on the appearance information acquired by the appearance information acquisition means; unlock abnormality detection means for outputting an abnormal signal in the case where, after the lock pin is controlled in the unlock position and a hoist operation for hoisting the spreader is started, the appearance information acquisition means acquires the appearance information, and the appearance determination means determines that the spreader and the container are in an integral state; and hoist operation stop means for stopping the hoist operation according to the abnormal signal. |
