PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver state determination system capable of determining the state of a driver, and providing necessary information to surrounding persons or the like without providing any special device in an automobile.SOLUTION: The face of a driver and a number of a vehicle 5 are successively photographed in time series by cameras 13 disposed along a road. Then, each image is captured from each camera 13 to each driver state detection device 15, and the state of the face of the driver (the direction of the face, the opening/closing state of the eyes, the expressions of the face) is detected from the image (face image). Those pieces of information on the face are transmitted from each driver state detection device 15 to a driver state determination device 19, and stored. Then, the state of the driver is determined on the basis of the stored data. Concretely, the presence/absence of the driver's inattentive driving, drowsiness or negative emotions is determined. Thus, it is possible to provide necessary information to the driver principal or passengers or vehicles surrounding the vehicle by using an electric bulletin board 9 or the like on the basis of the determination result. |
