COMMUNICATION METHOD, MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, BASE STATION, AND MOBILE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method, a mobile communication system, a base station, and a mobile terminal, capable of efficiently achieving low power consumption of a mobile terminal.SOLUTION: The communication method performs wireless communication between a mobile terminal and a base station using an intermittent receiving action in which a constant ON period during which a signal sent from the base station is received by the mobile terminal and a constant OFF period during which the signal is not received are repeated. A measurement result of quality of down communication path measured by the mobile terminal is informed from the mobile terminal to the base station during the ON period.
