PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit capable of easily positioning a lens for light condensation to a wheel having a luminous body with high accuracy, and a light source device using the optical unit, and an image display device.SOLUTION: The optical unit includes a wheel part, a lens part and a holder part. The wheel part includes, a wheel provided with a luminous body excited by light of a prescribed wavelength region and emitting visible light of a longer wavelength region than the light of the prescribed wavelength region, and a motor driving the wheel, and emits synthetic light of the light of the prescribed wavelength region and the visible light from the luminous body. The lens part includes one or more lenses condensing the synthetic light emitted from the wheel part, and an emission surface emitting the condensed synthetic light. The holder part supports the wheel part and the lens part as one unit. |
