PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake system of a vehicle engine which enhances the sound effect of intake noise occurring in an intake port of the engine to the interior and the exterior of a passenger compartment.SOLUTION: In an intake device of a vehicle engine 10, a throttle valve 16 is disposed in an intake manifold 15 connected with an intake port 13 of the engine 10 and an air cleaner box 17 communicates with the intake manifold 15. A sub intake pipe 21 communicates with an area between a communication part of the air cleaner box 17 in the intake manifold 15 and an arrangement part of the throttle valve 16. A movable valve 22 for adjusting a flow passage area of the sub intake pipe 21 is disposed in the sub intake pipe 21.
