PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane comprising at least two layers bound integrally to each other so that the membrane does not delaminate under typical process conditions.SOLUTION: There is provided a membrane having first and second porous portions. The first portion has a more open pore structure than the second portion. The first porous portion includes channels prepared by removing introduced fibers. Also provided is a method of making the membrane.
