<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus easily evaluating B1 nonuniformity from an acquired B1 map and capable of calculating an evaluation index facilitating the adjustment of the B1 nonuniformity.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a B1 map generation unit that generates a B1 map on the basis of intensity distribution of an RF reception signal of a phantom formed by simulating a human body, obtained by applying a high-frequency magnetic field to the phantom; an index calculation unit that extracts a long axis or a short axis of the B1 map and performs a calculation, with a long-axis inclination angle of the extracted long axis to the horizontal direction or a short-axis inclination angle of the extracted short axis to the vertical direction used as an evaluation index of the B1 map; and a QD coil that can adjust the uniformity of the high-frequency magnetic field by adjusting at least one of a phase and an amplitude of a high-frequency pulse to be input using the calculated evaluation index.</p> |
