This inverter device contains the following: a voltage-increasing circuit that increases an input DC voltage, i.e. the voltage of DC power outputted by a DC power supply; an inverter circuit that converts power supplied from the voltage-increasing circuit to AC power; a control unit that controls the voltage-increasing circuit and the inverter circuit; and an inductor provided on an electrical path via which the converted AC power is outputted to an AC system. The output AC power is controlled by controlling the inverter circuit and the voltage-increasing circuit as follows: the inverter circuit is controlled by determining a target output current on the basis of the input DC power and the voltage of the AC system and determining a target current and target voltage for the inverter circuit on the basis of said target output current; and the voltage-increasing circuit is controlled by determining a target current therefor on the basis of the input DC voltage and the same target current value and target voltage value that are used for the inverter circuit.
