The present invention provides a non-contact communication device which, while using a conventional IC chip as-is, does not require power transmission to the IC chip and can extend a communication range. A non-contact communication device connectable to an IC chip, the non-contact communication device being provided with an antenna unit, a first detection unit for retrieving a first detection signal from a signal received by the antenna unit, an amplitude modulation unit for modulating the amplitude of a clock signal by using the first detection signal retrieved by the first detection unit and inputting the amplitude-modulated signal to the IC chip, a second detection unit for retrieving a second detection signal from an output signal of the IC chip, and a load modulation unit for modulating the load of a carrier wave retrieved from the antenna unit by using the second detection signal retrieved by the second detection unit and inputting the load-modulated signal to the antenna unit.
