The invention relates to a method for determining a start of injection of an injector (11) of an internal combustion engine (1), comprising the following steps: - time-resolved detecting of an individual storage pressure curve (p, 23) in a measurement interval; - determining a test injection start (TS) with the aid of the individual storage pressure curve (p, 23); - determining a tendency (25) of the individual storage pressure curve (p, 23) in a predetermined test interval (&Dgr;&iacgr;) prior to the test injection start (TS); - correcting the individual storage pressure curve (p, 23) subject to said tendency (25); and - determining a start of injection with the aid of the corrected individual storage pressure curve (27).
