<p>The present invention provides a method for producing a copolymer which has a carboxy group and an epoxy group and contains a plurality of structural units that are derived from an aromatic vinyl compound. This method for producing a copolymer enables a polymerization reaction that has a high conversion ratio and leaves less residual monomers; and a copolymer having a low degree of dispersity can be obtained by this method. A method for producing a copolymer according to the present invention comprises a step for polymerizing a monomer mixture, wherein (A) the content ratio of an aromatic vinyl compound is 30-80% by mass, (B) the content ratio of a glycidyl (meth)acrylate is 1-30% by mass and (C) the content ratio of a (meth)acrylic acid is 1-40% by mass, in the presence of (D) bis(4-tert-butyl cyclohexyl) peroxy dicarbonate.</p> |
