PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire inspection method and a tire inspection device that suppress increase in an amount of processing data, and efficiently determine presence/absence of abnormality in a surface shape of a tread.SOLUTION: The tire inspection method comprises: a step A of measuring a plurality of data for specifying a surface shape of a tread Ts; and a step B of determining presence/absence of abnormality in the surface shape of the tread Ts on the basis of a plurality of measurement data and a plurality of reference data for specifying a reference surface shape of the tread Ts. The step B includes: a step B1 of extracting corner position data indicative of a position of a corner formed on a contour line of a land part from the plurality of measurement data and the plurality of reference data; and a step B2 of comparing the corner position data extracted from the plurality of measurement data with the corner position data extracted from the plurality of reference data. |
